The ALAC Weather Service is located in Middleton, Wisconsin. We provide weather and climate data for southern Wisconsin. Our Automatic Weather/Surface Observing System (AWOS/ASOS) is located in Middlet
on, Wisconsin near Stricker's Park. Our data collected is then sent to our partners at the National Weather Service in Sullivan, Wisconsin. (i.e. High/Low Temp. of the day, precipitation, snowfall, wind speed, and other significant weather observations) and also to the CoCoRaHS program, which collects precipitation and snowfall measurements.The CWOP program ran by the NWS takes our
data via computer and puts it into their forecast generation program. Lastly, we provide weather information to people who request our data!
