Austin Lacey
Forecaster-In-Charge
Austin Lacey is the Forecaster-In-Charge and founder of the ALAC Weather Service Madison/Middleton, WI. During his middle school years Austin remembers becoming increasingly interested in meterology. During his childhood, Austin was often frightened by severe weather, but learning about it helped him overcome this fear. By eigth grade in 2008, his interest was so strong he came up with the idea of starting his own weather website. This idea soon grew into what is now known as the ALAC Weather Service or alacweather.com. Austin is now a sophmore in high school and is on the third year of running ALAC Weather.
Besides weather, Austin has many more interests. During the summer he enjoys playing golf and tennis, but all-year he loves to run. Additionally, Austin likes spending time with his friends and family.
Austin's favorite type of weather to forecast is severe thunderstorms, and you will often see his name or initials on the bottom of products/statements during times of hazardous weather.
